Learn the basic legal principles pertaining to mineral rights' interests in Ohio, options for getting protection related to mineral interests, how title insurance works, and also how to have the conversation with your client when they want to buy/sell any such rights.
Focused solely on commercial transactions, learn about title provisions in your contract, an overview of title insurance, and navigating common title obstacles in getting to the closing.

Learn the legal foundation of contract law and discuss the common elements of a residential real estate purchase contract and how you can protect yourself and your clients.

3 Hour Courses

Learn the fundamental principles of Ohio Real Estate Law and receive an overview of the required legal forms in Real Estate transactions.
Participate in this interactive course devoted to instruction on current municipal, state, and federal civil rights laws, case law, desegregation issues, and instruction on how a licensed Real Estate agent can handle tough situations in practice.
Learn the legal principles of contracts, focusing on examples of listing contracts and purchase contracts. Privity of contract will be discussed, and items commonplace to each type of contract will be reviewed. Learn how to avoid mistakes and serve your clients better, especially when dealing with more complicated types of buyers/sellers and contractual needs.
Examine the ethical laws, rules, standards and guidelines affecting Ohio real estate brokers and agents.
Review the Columbus Residential Real Estate Purchase Contract, with emphasis on issues likely to be encountered by members of the bar in the course of representing buyers, sellers and real estate brokers and agents. The presentation is designed for small firm and sole practitioners who occasionally represent residential real estate transaction participants.
